This has been great for me, as I have a LOT of scraps. I've been pulling out the smaller pieces and cutting them into squares.
If they aren't big enough for 2 1/2 inches, I've cut them into 2 inch ones for a leaders and enders project I've been graduallly working on for a couple years.
Once I cut a bunch, I sorted them into piles of 50.
Three hundred cut so far, but I'm not done yet!
I have no idea what I'm going to do with all the scraps I'll be getting back in this exchange. But I'm sure I can think of something!

OOOH! I love charms (squares)! Every time I finish a project, I cut scraps into squares. I don't want the sraps to take over my sewing room - LOL! I have lots of 2 and 2.5 inch squares... Saving for postage stamp quilts. :)
perfect size square to keep extras of. I have a couple projects now using them, one has blue squares and the other florals.
I love little charms. You could make a postage Stamp Quilt. They are fun to do. I want to make another one.
I made a Scrappy Double Irish Chain made up with 2" squares. It's beautiful if I have to say myself - though there are others who have told me that so I feel safe to say so too. LOL! Anyways between exchanges and other scrappy quilts your efforts of cutting will ultimately bring great results!

Scroll down the page and you will see a larger picture of it. I used a Bonnie Hunter pattern.
